The professional nurse-patient relationship is believed to be a restorative component of care. As such, ensuring provider-patient match is an important component of our practice. All potential patients are asked to review our website to determine if they believe our approach resonates with them and if their conditions align with our current service offerings. Sandalwood staff, in turn, will review prospective clients' intake paperwork to confirm their eligibility to meet with a provider.

Patients expected to achieve the most benefit from Sandalwood's services includes patients who are able to access telehealth technology, ready to make changes to patterns in their lives, receptive to medication and holistic lifestyle/routine changes (ex. diet, exercise, meditation, etc.), experiencing mild-moderate symptoms (ex. Sandalwood does not have resources to treat active suicidality), and commit to regular appointments.

We offer holistic, person-centered, care by treating the whole-person rather than a series of symptoms. This means we look at various factors and blend a number of interventions in order to improve a patient's overall mental health. In addition to reviewing the patient's prior medical history, we explore their daily routines (e.g., sleeping and eating habits, and work environment) in order to customize their treatment plan.
